Framed ‘Thimble’ (Remnant Four)

The tale of Beulah’s lost thimble, block-printed in our Dorset workshop on a laundered, patched and darned C19th hemp sack, has been professionally floated within a handmade frame behind non-reflective glass. In this instance, the moulding, slip and mount are painted in ‘Hopper Head Dead Flat’ - however, the piece can be ordered in any paint colour and finish, to suit its location. The frame is beeswaxed and has had its edges eased, and comes ready to hang. Each framed remnant is unique, an original work of art; the antique hemp varies in tone and is patched and darned by us differently every time.
